Julie recently moved to Arizona from California where she was born and raised. Although she holds a degree in psychology, her passion has always been nutrition, fitness, and helping people find a way to live a healthier, happier life. While on lockdown, she became a certified nutrition coach and personal trainer with specialties in Weight Management, Behavior Change, and Senior Fitness through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Out of a love for dancing and movement, she also became a licensed Zumba instructor during that time. She has worked privately with clients seeking both to gain muscle and lose weight and continues to work on her own physical and mental well-being on a daily basis.
Sonny (Sonja) was born and raised in Munich, Germany, and moved to the US in Highschool. She grew up taking dance classes of various styles and always has been passionate about exercise, nutrition, and physical and mental health.
Her interest in Latin culture and music started in college when she spent a summer in Guadalajara, Mexico. While living with a Mexican family, she also had the opportunity to learn some Spanish, and take Latin dance and Flamenco classes.
Sonny always had a desire to get her Zumba instructor license but never felt like it was the right time. Being a recent breast cancer survivor and meeting Patricia pushed her in the right direction. She felt that life is too short to have regrets so she got licensed in 2022. Now she is excited to help spread the joy of Zumba as it truly makes her heart dance.
Aside from being a Zumba enthusiast, and advocate for breast cancer education, she holds a Masters Degree in Psychology and an MBA.
